The height of the compactum is 900mm allowing for the parent to stand comfortably whilst changing nappies or dressing your baby. The depth is 640mm allowing for your changing mat to be perpendicular which makes changing a baby's nappy much easier.

The sprayed paint finish is durable, long lasting and makes it easy to wipe away any mess.

Solid Oak Compactum

We love doing custom work and recently completed this beautiful solid oak compactum with blue drawer fronts for a special baby boy.

Made in our popular mid-century modern style with tapered legs. The oak has been treated with a furniture wax to bring out the natural grain.

The Compactum/Changing table has a convenient height allowing you to change your baby without straining your back. The depth of the changing table allows your changing matt to be perpendicular to you making changing your baby much easier. Cots and Compactums

Whilst our redesigned baby cots will be ready shortly, we have completed more compactums for our customers who are expecting babies shortly.

The ever popular basic mid-century compactum is available with a choice of colours for the drawer fronts and in either a hand-painted finish for a satin duco sprayed version.

The advantage of this design is that it will not look out of place in your baby's bedroom after they have finished wearing nappies.

Toddler Beds & Day Beds

We got our hands on some beautiful teak beds that had been brought to Cape Town by an italian family. They had been painted in a beautiful shade of green and were obviously very old.

We spent some time restoring it and now we have one left to sell.

Pink & White Baby's Compactum

This is the first baby's compactum we ever made. This was done for our daughter a few years ago, and while our compactum design has improved substantially, we still love this pink and grey harlequin finish.

Nursing Chair for new mothers

Your newborn baby will be fed up to 9 times per day depending on your schedule, so in your first few months, a comfortable nursing chair will be very important. After each feed, you will probably want to put your newborn baby straight to sleep, and so it is very useful to have a nursing chair that has a rocking mechanism.

The other consideration for your nursing chair is that it will probably be used for some late night feeds, and for comforting a baby that is struggling to go to sleep. For that purpose you want a nursing chair that is comfortable for both parents to sit in, and yes, occasionally for both parents to sleep in.

Finally, you may want to use your nursing chair well after you have finished nursing your baby. You should consider a chair and fabric that could be used elsewhere in your home after your baby has finished nursing.
